Got back from the Pan Am Trials and the great news just keeps coming. Walked in the door to see Chelsea's award for being the MVP for XC and Track at McMaster this year!
Ian had a great couple of days swimming at the Pan Am Trials. He swam 1:55:07 for the 200 free, which makes him as the second fastest 16-year-old in the country! He kept that going with a 52.39 in the 100 free, which also ranks him second in the country and followed that up with a 24.11 in the 50 free. You guessed it ... second fastest 16-year-old in the country right now, just 3/100s off.
It was an incredible experience - the meet not only had all of Canada's top swimmers, but a number of athletes from around the world here to check out the new pool.
